FIAV COMMUNITY SERVICES AWARD - 2014

The International Women’s Day has a long established history and its celebration theme decided by the United Nations changes each year. This year’s theme is “Equality for Women in Progress”.

Rejoicing the above theme, the “FIAV COMMUNITY SERVICES AWARD 2014” will be dedicated to “Women of Indian Origin in Victoria” for two following categories:
1.    FIAV Community Services Award

This award recognizes women voluntary work for the benefit of the Indian Community. Winner(s) of this award will be recognized at FIAV dinner event on 16th August 2014.

2.    FIAV Community Services Award (Senior)

This award is to recognize Indian Senior Women whose contribution to the community has been exemplary and or significant. The nominee must be over the age of 60 by October 2014.

Winner(s) of this award will be recognized at Indian Origin Seniors Lunch event on 12th October 2014.

On behalf of the Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria (FIAV), I would like to formally invite each FIAV member organization to nominate one deserving female candidate from your organization. These awards are not only very prestigious but are expected to be extremely competitive due to incredible women involvement from our Indian communities.

FIAV Awards Sub-Committee will acknowledge all received nominations and consider all nominations in-depth. Following which will make recommendations to the FIAV Executive Committee. The decision of the FIAV Executive Committee will be final. All successful candidates will be informed before the award presentation event. All successful candidates are expected to attend the appropriate function.
